Every character so thoughtfully developed with both their own individual part in the story and also coming together create this whole beautiful journey. This is a very well written book, but a real tear jerker. It’s a good family read although as in most families there is always a favorite. I can very well associate myself with Winona, oldest (although I wasn’t the oldest or a lawyer) but I was always trying to prove myself trying to get my Father & Mother’s approval which I never did so I know how that feels. Always trying & never measuring up. The sisters are all unique in their own way, but you know the favorite Vivi Ann is adored by ALL! There is rivalry in the family, a deep emotional connection with family and the community. You can’t read fast enough and you won’t want any interruptions! There is a crime that will tear the family apart & the town as well. You won’t believe who is blamed for the crime. For the first time in all these years, the sisters will be pitted against each other. Secrets will be revealed and you will find out where their loyalties are. This is a face pace moving novel of what it truly means to be a family.

I loved the book, but it was extremely long

I loved this story as much as I love happy endings! The sisterly love was inspiring, all the relationships were inspiring. The imagery was great; I want to live at the ranch and the beach house! I love small towns, but everyone knowing my every movement would get old quick. LOL! Seriously, I loved the book, but it was extremely long. There was a lot of writing for a story that could have been much shorter. Other than that, it was great! A strong 3 Boundless stars; it was good, but could have been better....Beth

Frustrating!

This story starts out really good. The sketches of the characters have enough to keep you reading for awhile. Then it just gets exhausting! The choices all of these sisters make are totally frustrating and unbelievable...you want to scream at the author for each character making random choices that weren't even put before them. You start to lose patience first with the characters and then with the author. Too jerky, disjointed and not cohesive enough for me. Read Winter Garden. It's her absolute best. This book was a huge disappointment.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I must say it won't be my last. Was it the best? No but it did keep me hooked enough that I finished it in about one long day. The beginning was good, the middle lulled but the ending was great. It really made up for the slow middle. I'm glad I kept reading. The characters were kinda linear and not as complex as I would like but overall, I would definitely recommend this book to friends.

Definitely worth your time & money spent

I loved the dynamics between the three sisters, which is what compelled me to download this in the first place. Once I got started, I just couldn't stop and ended up finishing it in a day. A few of the parts definitely brought me to tears as well. It's been a long time since I've read a book (other than to my kids), and I'm glad I bought this one to get me back in to novels.

As a person who lost a parent at a Young age I felt she captured that sense of lost that never leaves you. Even though the characters personalities are extreme there were intense and funny moments you could relate to!

What a wonderful story,sad but true how people are convicted because of what they look like. What a shame Dallas had to spend so much time in prison for a crime he did not commit. Wonderful story line between sisters, I can relate I have two sisters. Good for Noah and Winona for not giving up, otherwise an innocent man would have died in prison. This is the first book. Have I read by this author, look forward to reading all her books.

This is a very well written book, but a real tear jerker. It’s a good family read although as in most families there is always a favorite. I can very well associate myself with Winona, oldest (although I wasn’t the oldest or a lawyer) but I was always trying to prove myself trying to get my Father & Mother’s approval which I never did so I know how that feels. Always trying & never measuring up. The sisters are all unique in their own way, but you know the favorite Vivi Ann is adored by ALL! There is rivalry in the family, a deep emotional connection with family and the community. You can’t read fast enough and you won’t want any interruptions! There is a crime that will tear the family apart & the town as well. You won’t believe who is blamed for the crime. For the first time in all these years, the sisters will be pitted against each other. Secrets will be revealed and you will find out where their loyalties are. This is a face pace moving novel of what it truly means to be a family.

I loved this story as much as I love happy endings! The sisterly love was inspiring, all the relationships were inspiring. The imagery was great; I want to live at the ranch and the beach house! I love small towns, but everyone knowing my every movement would get old quick. LOL! Seriously, I loved the book, but it was extremely long. This story starts out really good. The sketches of the characters have enough to keep you reading for awhile. Then it just gets exhausting! The choices all of these sisters make are totally frustrating and unbelievable...you want to scream at the author for each character making random choices that weren't even put before them. You start to lose patience first with the characters and then with the author. Too jerky, disjointed and not cohesive enough for me. Read Winter Garden. It's her absolute best. This book was a huge disappointment.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I must say it won't be my last. Was it the best? No but it did keep me hooked enough that I finished it in about one long day. The beginning was good, the middle lulled but the ending was great. It really made up for the slow middle. I'm glad I kept reading. The characters were kinda linear and not as complex as I would like but overall, I would definitely recommend this book to friends.

I loved the dynamics between the three sisters, which is what compelled me to download this in the first place. Once I got started, I just couldn't stop and ended up finishing it in a day. A few of the parts definitely brought me to tears as well. It's been a long time since I've read a book (other than to my kids), and I'm glad I bought this one to get me back in to novels.

I just love Kristin Hannah. Each book I’ve read has just grabbed me and pulled me into the carefully crafted storyline. Every character so thoughtfully developed with both their own individual part in the story and also coming together create this whole beautiful journey. Hannah’s novels make Me feel like I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen and so sad when the ride is over.

This is a very well written book, but a real tear jerker. It’s a good family read although as in most families there is always a favorite. I can very well associate myself with Winona, oldest (although I wasn’t the oldest or a lawyer) but I was always trying to prove myself trying to get my Father & Mother’s approval which I never did so I know how that feels. Always trying & never measuring up. The sisters are all unique in their own way, but you know the favorite Vivi Ann is adored by ALL! There is rivalry in the family, a deep emotional connection with family and the community. You can’t read fast enough and you won’t want any interruptions! There is a crime that will tear the family apart & the town as well. You won’t believe who is blamed for the crime. For the first time in all these years, the sisters will be pitted against each other. Secrets will be revealed and you will find out where their loyalties are. This is a face pace moving novel of what it truly means to be a family.

I loved the book, but it was extremely long

I loved this story as much as I love happy endings! The sisterly love was inspiring, all the relationships were inspiring. The imagery was great; I want to live at the ranch and the beach house! I love small towns, but everyone knowing my every movement would get old quick. LOL! Seriously, I loved the book, but it was extremely long. There was a lot of writing for a story that could have been much shorter. Other than that, it was great! A strong 3 Boundless stars; it was good, but could have been better....Beth

Frustrating!

This story starts out really good. The sketches of the characters have enough to keep you reading for awhile. Then it just gets exhausting! The choices all of these sisters make are totally frustrating and unbelievable...you want to scream at the author for each character making random choices that weren't even put before them. You start to lose patience first with the characters and then with the author. Too jerky, disjointed and not cohesive enough for me. Read Winter Garden. It's her absolute best. This book was a huge disappointment.

Interesting read

This is the first book I've read by this author and I must say it won't be my last. Was it the best? No but it did keep me hooked enough that I finished it in about one long day. The beginning was good, the middle lulled but the ending was great. It really made up for the slow middle. I'm glad I kept reading. The characters were kinda linear and not as complex as I would like but overall, I would definitely recommend this book to friends.

Definitely worth your time & money spent

I loved the dynamics between the three sisters, which is what compelled me to download this in the first place. Once I got started, I just couldn't stop and ended up finishing it in a day. A few of the parts definitely brought me to tears as well. It's been a long time since I've read a book (other than to my kids), and I'm glad I bought this one to get me back in to novels.

I absolutely loved this story. Kristin Hannah is an incredible writer and like Pat Conroy, my favorite author, develops her characters so deeply that I feel I am there. Couldn't put it down

As a person who lost a parent at a Young age I felt she captured that sense of lost that never leaves you. Even though the characters personalities are extreme there were intense and funny moments you could relate to!

After Winters Garden I thought this author had some real talent, but this book was full of cliches, predictability and amateur writing. Maybe if you simply want a page turner it's ok, but not an enjoyable page turner.

What a wonderful story,sad but true how people are convicted because of what they look like. What a shame Dallas had to spend so much time in prison for a crime he did not commit. Wonderful story line between sisters, I can relate I have two sisters. Good for Noah and Winona for not giving up, otherwise an innocent man would have died in prison. This is the first book. Have I read by this author, look forward to reading all her books.
